Our iconic steps! Some of the most amazingly moving scenes take place right here.
The steps have changed a few times over the years since we first saw them. Did you know that sometimes there are five steps and sometimes there are seven (rewatch and count!)?
As you can see, following repairs to the real house in 1988, the steps just did not look old enough and were made to look older!

We see lots of doors at Lallybroch. But the room behind the door remains the same. This first floor room of Midhope Castle is the only part of Midhope that becomes a real part of Lallybroch. An entrance hallway is built within this room to make the doorway into a panelled hall of a great house. Just look at our BTS photos.
