Jamie hiding in the cave

Through the woods

Many Outlander scenes have been filmed in the woods you are about to enter. From Scotland to North Carolina, those trees have seen it all, but some spots will be more recognisable than others!

As you start your way along the path, look out for the rock on your left, just before the path joins the Midhophe Burn. This is the "entrance" to Jamie's Cave in Season 3. The rock was dressed to look more imposing. The inside of the cave was filmed in the studio. (Did you konw? The real Dun Bonnet cave is near Loch Ness!)

Once you have passed the cave, you are about to travel in time and space....

Rachel & Rollo

Meet Mr Bug...

This was one of the "what's going to happen" moments of season seven A. What a cliff hanger for us all.

While out walking Rollo, Rachel happens upon Mr Bug blocking her way.....

So be careful while walking along the path!

Fergus, the Redcoats are after you

As you reach the fence, you are transported back to Scotland.

The area and woods around here are where Fergus is followed by a pair of Redcoats. The filming started at Midhope Castle and follows the old drover road through the woodland behind the castle.

At the top of the hill behind you, is the track and wooded area the Redcoats are and Jamie (Red Jamie) watches as Fergus is chased along the river's edge.

Fergus finally is caught at the foot of the hill (right here) when two more Redcoats on horseback make their way along the river.

It is here Fergus has his hand "removed" and Jamie takes him back to the safety of Lallybroch.
