Visit Midhope Castle
Come and visit from 9am to 5pm, extended to 6pm May to September (last entry 30 minutes before close)
We are located in open countryside on the Hopetoun Estate, Abercorn, West Lothian and can be accessed by car from the A904 South Queensferry to Bo'ness road.
Please use the first car park on the castle drive, it's then a short walk to the castle gate.

It's free to take photographs from the gate but should you wish to enter the castle grounds there is a charge for tickets which can be purchased on this website or at the castle.
Our recommended way to visit would be on an organised day tour, or with your own transport.
Please do not use Uber or a taxi service.
This is because it is very difficult to get a return taxi or Uber from Midhope.
Hopetoun House
We are only a short drive from Hopetoun House, the main family home of the owners of Midhope Castle which also featured in all seasons of Outlander and Blood of my Blood.
